  1. Giving up family affairs

A person who is trained in Krsna consciousness from childhood naturally becomes disinclined toward the material way of life, and at the age of fifty he gives it up. How does he start giving it up? The husband and wife leave home and travel together on pilgrimage. If from twenty-five to fifty one remains in family life, one should have some grown-up children. So at age fifty the husband entrusts the
  2. Everything Krsna

In our Society, anyone who joins, that means he is interested in Krsna, little. May not be very much. At least, they come here out of inquisitiveness to hear what they speak about Krsna, what do they do about Krsna. But our..., everything is open. There is no secrecy. We worship Krsna, we think of Krsna, we work for Krsna, we glorify Krsna, we chant for Krsna, we dedicate our life for Krsna. There is no other business than...
  3. We must write

When I first met His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, His Divine Grace instructed me to read his books and to write. In one letter he wrote, "Amidst our heavy duties, we must write something to glorify the Supreme Lord."
  4. “Never criticize anyone”, an imagined rule in modern ISKCON

Journalist: I think that an awful lot of our readers, and an awful lot of people in the United States are terribly confused with the many people who claim to be avataras and who come from India to this country, one after the other, after the other, and they say... Prabhupada: I can declare, they are all nonsense. Journalist: That's what... I wanted to... If you could elaborate on that a little more.
  5. We shall teach everyone

If you understand Krsna, then you can teach even the greatest scientist, the greatest philosopher, greatest politician -- everyone. That is Krsna [indistinct]. You don't require to be a great scientist to teach a scientist; but if you simply understand Krsna, then you will be able to teach even the greatest scientist. The greatest philosophers, greatest anyone, let them come; we shall teach. We shall become their teacher. We challenge. Why? Because we know a little about Krsna.
  6. Books to convince you

We have got books. Our program is for publishing sixty books. Now we have already published about twenty books, big, big books, four hundred pages. So if you understand, if you want to understand this movement through philosophy, science and good logic, argument, we have got sufficient stock to convince you how this Krsna consciousness movement is important.
  7. Preach what Krsna has said

Don't manufacture preaching. Preach as it is in the sastra. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's instruction: yare dekha tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesa [Cc. Madhya 7.128]. You do not become a rascal guru yourself by manufacturing some imagination. This rascaldom don't do. One thing do. What is that? What is said by Krsna, you say. That's all. What is the difficulty? What Krsna has said, you say.
